This course examines Dante's masterpiece, "The Divine Comedy", the poet's life and other works. The primary focus is on "The Divine Comedy" and its influence on European literature and culture. Other texts will be included. |
PRE-REQUISITES:
- For Italian majors: Italian 410, or by consent of the professor.
- For non-Italian majors:Since students of other majors, such as English, French, Spanish, or other languages may be interested in the work, they will be allowed to take the course provided that they have an adequate background in literary studies (consult instructor).
