I created a poster encouraging people to think twice about how much plastic they use. Microplastics are such a problem that they can even be found in our food. By including a plastic apple on my poster, I hope people will think twice about the fact that plastic is becoming part of our everyday diet, even if not quite on a macro scale yet.

I am a Physiology and Medical Sciences major with a minor in both Italian and Computer Science. I chose to study Italian my freshman year because I have always enjoyed the study of foreign languages and have been fascinated with Italian culture my whole life – it’s always been my dream place to visit! In the future, I hope to have a job in healthcare and would love to travel to help people through my career. In my free time, I love to hike, journal, paint, and spend time with family and friends.
