I hope to attend medical school in 2020 and eventually become a practicing physician. I think that my Italian Language and Literature major, housed in the College of Humanities, has helped prepare me for this next step because it has broadened my horizon to encompass not only the physiological side of medicine, but the people side as well. Human-to-human interaction and communication is becoming increasingly important in the progressive, technology-driven society we find ourselves in today. I feel like the sciences and humanities go hand-in-hand and are equally important attributes that are essential for today's physicians!
