Arizona Opera Project
Letizia Bellocchio organizes trip for Italian students to the Tucson Music Hall to attend Rossini’ Cinderella and The Barber of Seville, and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, The project aims to immerse students in authentic Italian culture by studying librettos in class and experiencing the live performance. The Arizona Opera Project was designed for ITAL 202, ITAL 301, and Italian Majors, fostering connections between intermediate and advanced students. ITAL 301 students and Majors mentored ITAL 202 students, offering opportunities for authentic language practice.
