Music has always held a special place in my heart. Before I had enrolled in an Italian class, I would try to learn through memorizing songs. Thus, it seemed natural that to practice I would try writing a song in Italian. One day, while having a bit of a cold and waiting for an F1 race to start, I brought out my guitar to the kitchen table and started messing around with some lyrics, melodies, and chords, until something decent enough was created. I decided to share my song with Dr. Borbi Gaspar who was perhaps too excited and invited me to perform it at the French & Italian Department's graduation ceremony. However, I was very grateful for this opportunity and enjoyed getting to honor everyone’s accomplishments in the program.
