Congratulations are in order for the graduating Marco Polo Italian Class of 2024!

Students, parents, and faculty were invited to attend the annual Department of French & Italian Awards Ceremony on May 2nd to celebrate our graduating seniors and other students who received awards and scholarships for their service to the department, their outstanding academic achievements, and study abroad opportunities. The department has had a wonderful year of learning and growing and we enjoyed celebrating together all of our accomplishments.

Playful Poetry Club

Come and play with language in a creative way!

You're invited to the Playful Poetry Club! Students of any level of Italian are welcome to participate. Flex your creative muscles and design an original work of art and poetry using a variety of mediums including: clay, watercolor, Italian magazines and books, and more. Refreshments, snacks and fun are guaranteed!

Italian Studies Meet-n-Greet

What can Italian do for you?

Come and introduce yourself to fellow Italian students and meet the Italian professors!

Want to learn about the Italian Studies program here at UA? Then stop by room 571 in the Modern Languages building for a pastry or some gelato from Viro's Real Italian Bakery and enjoy a chance to connect with fellow students and faculty in the program. Learn about the major and minor, offered classes, study abroad opportunities and scholarships, and more! Meet the club officers and members of the student-run Italian club, Dolce Vita. The Undergraduate Advisor, Professor Lilia Coropceanu, will be around to answer any and all of your questions.
